| David Bentley’s first solo album was recorded in hometown Brisbane just a few years after writing Python Lee Jackson’s international hit, In A Broken Dream. Producer of the album is Howard Davidson, now an eminent London-based composer of documentary sound tracks. Album features mainly Brisbane musicians. The title track, Hot City, was written as a paean of praise to David’s city of birth. The album was voted as one of the Top Ten in The Age (Melbourne) listings for 1981. Title track was later recorded by songstress Margret RoadKnight (along with several other of David’s songs) on her Moving Target album. Fewer than 30 albums from the original vinyl pressing remain – and collectors are snapping them up. Cost: $50AUD. CONTACT US HERE FOR PURCHASE BEFORE THEY SELL OUT |
